No Chopsticks Required: Christina Milian’s Peanut Butter & Jelly ‘Sushi’

Christina Milian knows a clever idea when she sees one.
“PB&J Sushi w/ Strawberry Coulis. This is a great way to convince kids that they like sushi,” read the original caption.
Even if you’re not angling for your little ones to dig into your spicy tuna rolls, the presentation of these pinwheel finger sandwiches may also work well for kids who are in a food rut and refusing to eat their old favorites. Sometimes, all that’s needed is a fresh (and fun!) look.
Better yet, this “sushi” couldn’t be easier to make:
1. Trim 2 slices of bread to form 2 long rectangles. (If you’re using thick-cut bread, you may need to flatten the slices with a rolling pin.)
2. Spread one side of the bread with a thin layer of peanut butter, followed by a thin layer of jelly.
3. Starting at one end, roll the bread until you’ve formed a coil.
4. Cut the roll into bite-size piece.
