Paula Deen is hitting the road.

The embattled chef announced that she will kick off a 20-show tour on June 21st in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., a couple of months after telling People magazine she was fighting to get her name back in the wake of a racial scandal that shattered her multi-million-dollar cooking empire.

The initial seven shows will take place in Southern cities, including Nashville, Atlanta and Deen’s hometown of Savannah, Ga. Thirteen additional shows will be announced shortly.

The 90-minute shows will feature cooking demos, storytelling and interactive games with the audience. Tickets will go on sale May 1.

Deen told the Miami New Times that there will be plenty of audience participation. “We are going to play musical chairs and the dating game with the audience. That’s the excitement of it all — my fans get to be part of the show,” she said.

The food network ratings have been at an all time HIGH since they dumped her. Hopefully she stays gone.

GOOD TO HAVE PAULA BACK!

Bigots come in all ages, sizes, ethnic backgrounds. I would never go see her, purchase anything w/her name on it. They way she had her black employees run around looking for hidden money, and also the comments. Retire already!

I can’t stand her and how she talks. I am English but live in Tennessee and love it here but most people do not talk like her. Her nasal voice and accent is so put on I turn her off every time she is on.

Good luck with that Paula. One of the most annoying personalities on tv….not to mention so damn phony.

Way to go, Paula!! I’ve missed you!

Rolyat…either you are misinformed or a liar.

FoodNetwork continue to lose viewers. Hopefully, it will continue.

Jan, you should actually speak to her black employees. They’ll set you straight on the kind of person she is. Not the white lady who sued her. Some of those names you called her would aptly fit you.

Jennib15 thats from last year. Please show some updated facts before trying to put someone in there place.

People need to get over what happen in the past, it seems its not good when whites say something but when Sharpton etc talk about whites its ok. At least Paula didnt like to Congress like the Sharpton etc did and keep lying because they use race as their reasoning. Food channel should be the shame of themselves, what happened was years ago. Im so happy for Paula – moving forward -

Who would want to watch that ridiculous old woman! And even pay money to watch her?

Go away!

Wendy on

Saw her years ago when they filmed her show in Savannah. She was a phony person. Never spoke to the audience or even cared that we were there!!! That southern charm is all a put on! I wouldn’t pay money to see her let alone go for free!

MARCIA NELSON on

She lost all credibility with those hurtful remarks. I tolerated her stupid laughs at her own jokes but will not watch her or buy anything to do with her and keeping her in the public eye. Food Network did the right thing and ABSOLUTLY NO ONE MISSES HER. LOTS OF OTHER TALENTED PEOPLE HAVE REPLACED HER AND HER RAUCOUS LAUGH.

Flo on

Her talk seems put on, not really how southerners talk, her boys don’t.

Lori on

Tickets are 55.00 & up I have mine!!!

Chuck on

Bravo for Paula, I truly believe that what she did was wrong, however I also believe that she has been treated unjustly as a result by the FOOD channel, considering that other personalities have committed wrongs as bad or worse but continue to be featured on air. I wish you the best Paula and will continue to follow you and your shows!! I also do not watch the Food channel any linger

Boog on

I like the “Slingin’ butter at y’all” comeback tour comment. I’m glad she’s coming back. She’s who turned me on to the cooking shows. She is funny and has some pretty good recipes, even with the butterrrrrrrr!

Boog on

I don’t think her accent is put on. She’s from the old school, we all talk like that. Lewis Grizzard once said that God talks like us southerns and I agree with him. My wife has an older friend who is from Georgia, and she speaks like a true southern belle. I love it!!
