When it comes to Thanksgiving, you could say that Courteney Cox is an especially canny host.

In addition to planning a wedding with fiancé Johnny McDaid and starring in Cougar Town, which returns for its sixth and final season Jan. 6, Cox will also be playing host this Thanksgiving at her home in L.A. — for 30 people.

“I have, like, 30 people coming for Thanksgiving. That’s a lot,” Cox tells PEOPLE at the celebration for the show’s 100th episode on Wednesday night. When asked what she plans on cooking, she jokes, “It’s all canned. It tastes great.”

It turns out that the former Friends star is often a host, says her Cougar Town costar Busy Philipps, who was also at the celebration. “Courtney’s really good about keeping people together. She has Sunday nights at her house.”

Says Cox: “I grew up in Alabama. where my grandmother on Sundays — I have 21 first cousins — got the entire family together at 5:30. So I’m just used to having big groups gathering.”

Getting everyone together can be tough, explains Cox, especially in a city like L.A. “No one has family out here, so it’s trying to create some sort of community that I have people over,” she says. “I say that people are always welcome to come on Sundays.”

Yes and I’m sure she’ll have plenty of hired help! So I’m not impressed.

I work in a hospital, when we get a patient who looks like her, someone inevitably will say, “joker in room 2”. A few more injections and she’ll be able to star in the next Batman movie without any make up! Does she really think she’s fooling anyone? Unless you’re blind, you can usually guess most womens ages within a few years. It’s sad to see these women think they can make themselves look like they did 20 years ago. I hope when I get there I can embrace my age. My mom is 55 and looks fantastic! I’m going to follow her lead!

People are so negative on these message boards. She’s trying to create a “family” for Thanksgiving. Yes, she has hired help, I’m sure. You would too if you were fortunate enough to have her financial means. But, please stop hating – or quit reading the dang articles!

Growing up we would have 30+ people over for different holidays and my mother prepared and cooked the meat and a few other items and family and friends brought over dishes. My mother worked full time, had 4 children, was the maid, cook, waitress, etc…. I’m sure Courtney can and other celebrities have plenty of gatherings at their homes that aren’t catered…

OMG, Botox is ruining her face. When will women realize it makes you look WORSE?

What a great example of opening up your home to spend quality time with friends/family.

You know, I’m going to fess up with my “first” thoughts and admit they were a bit cynical. But then I read a few other commenters and realized the error of my ways. I try and keep it positive but I fail at times! She’s got money, she earned it the Hollywood way (meaning lots of money) and inviting folks into her home for whatever reason is a lovely gesture, maid service or not. So HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
A BLESSING SHARED…Please tune into “Your Move with Andy Stanley” on the internet or Sunday mornings on the Daystar Channel.

Wow! That’s really mean , Selena. Someone like Courtney cox has to have major insecurity issues to change her face so drastically. How awful to make fun of your patients obviously dealing with low self esteem and whatever else forced them into the hospital. Some people are so cruel.

You can also look at the yards per throw but that’s partially addressed in the total yardage stat above. It was stated to be easy to assemble and is handy for storing suitcases. The early scenarios are true to life in that the equipment available to the player is actually inferior to that fielded by the Allied and Soviet opponents, and more than simply rushing a fortified town is required in order to achieve victory with the limited forces available to the player.
