Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell Are Selling Their Own ‘Actually Okay’ Tasting Wine

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell have one pretty cool hobby.

On Thursday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!Romijn revealed the couple has delved into the wine business with the grape vines growing on their California property.

“We started 10 years ago and the vines — we had 800 grape vines — they finally matured and we’ve made wine,” The Librarians star says of their Wagon Wheel Wine.

And though their expectations for the actual taste of wine were not very high, they were pleasantly surprised at the results.

“We thought it would be headache s— wine and it’s actually okay,” she says. “It’s a nice table wine and we are currently selling it at some restaurants in our area.”

But the best part of their new endeavor has been O’Connell’s approach to getting it on shelves without the help of a distributor.

“He’ll walk out in his Wagon Wheel Wine t-shirt, which I made for him, and a briefcase — like an old ’70s style briefcase that you have to put on the table and it’s got the combination — and you open it up and inside there’s one bottle of wine,” saysRomijn with a laugh. “And he’ll go, ‘I think there’s a gourmet burger shop that opened down the street, shall we go?'”

That’s all there is to it, says Romijn of the 1500 bottles they’ve sold so far.

“We’re not breaking even. We’re still paying for our hobby,” the actress admits. “But yeah, man, we’re doing okay and the wine is okay.”

The Librarians premieres Sunday at 8 p.m. on TNT.

Rebecca’s got a (new) show.. From The Librarian movie(s), but its title is almost as bad as the show – although I pretty much loved the movies – it’s called The Librarians, meh.

(Watching the back-to-back pilot, but I GUESS the only way it can succeed, is, if they keep traveling – like in the first part; dunno how expensive this can make the production, though. :))
