Jessica Alba is the latest celebrity superwoman to admit to a major love-hate relationship with the gym.

The actress-entrepreneur, 34, told Shape in her new June cover story (on sale now) that while she doesn’t always want to dive into her fitness routine, she feels a sense of accomplishment when the workout is behind her.

“I have to break a sweat or I don’t feel like I’ve gotten anything done. When I only have 30 minutes, I’ll do a series of burpees, mountain climbers, squat jumps, planks, and a few sun salutations,” the mom of two told the magazine. “But I’m not going to lie. Working out sucks.”

The Fantastic Four actress has also come up with a solution for when she’s not feeling motivated on her own.

“I love taking classes, because I’m surrounded by other people and that keeps me motivated and accountable. These days, I do power yoga with light weights in a 105-degree room, so it’s a mix of hot yoga and strength training. I also spin,” she said.

Although Alba has had to take on intense training for physically demanding gigs like Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, her active lifestyle goes beyond her acting roles. The gorgeous mama, who is married to producer Cash Warren, 36, said that exuding body confidence is important for setting an example for her daughters, Honor, 6, and Haven, 3.

“I felt more comfortable in my own skin after they were born. Plus, if I want them to be happy with their bodies, I need to walk the walk.”

And boy, is Alba walking the walk. (Or, more like sprinting.)

She told Shape, “I attribute my athletic body to the martial arts, gymnastics, dance, and strength training I did while filming Dark Angel. That’s made me strong and really set the bar.”

The Latest Craze in Disco Styles Is See-Through Jeans—but Beware of Foggy Bottoms

On a clear day, you can see forever—or at least that’s the wicked thought behind L.A. designer Agi Berliner’s transparent idea: see-through jeans. Exhibitionists notwithstanding, most folks wear them over bathing suits or as attention-getting evening wear with halters, garter belts and body stockings. Created for the disco crowd, the $34 jeans are selling like, well, hot pants. In just six weeks, 25,000 pairs have already been sold in such major department store chains as Macy’s, Bonwit’s and Saks.

“What’s limiting American designers is that we’re afraid to do something different,” says Berliner, 32, a Hungarian émigré who fled with her family to the U.S. in 1956. Agi thought up the gimmick in London while marveling at the way plastics were being employed by designers of punk fashion. In her L.A. office, where she designs for La Parisienne junior sportswear, Agi spent five days on the phone and six weeks testing to come up with the right plastic.

Agi herself tried out the French-cut jeans with the zipper in front, and quickly found several problems: Some plastics tore away from stitching, others wouldn’t bend and all fogged with perspiration. The ideal material proved to be a vinyl supplied by a bookbinder. The steam was eliminated with a series of vents behind the knees and in the crotch. “They’re no hotter than polyester pants,” claims Agi, “and if you wear them with tights, they won’t stick to your legs.”

Whatever the discomfort and despite the problem of Saturday night feverishness, discomaniacs report one major advantage of the plastic pants: no laundry bills. To keep Berliner’s see-through jeans clear, all the wearer needs is a little Windex.

If she truly wants to walk the walk and be a good example, she should stop smoking.

Ever since I read that she bragged about making her employees cry, I have zero respect for anything this individual has to say

I used to like her but now I feel like she has become entitled and mean..especially when I read her interview where she bragged about making employees cry. That speaks volumes about who she is and the kind of boss she is…not someone I respect.

She is not a tier one actress. she cannot act – should be grateful everyday

I don’t know. Is it silly for a mom to pose like this when she earns enough money not to?
