Chrissy Teigen Gives the World a Sneak Peek at Her New Cookbook

In preparation for the release of her first-ever cookbook, Chrissy Teigen has been teasing us with her delectable creations over the past few months. But don’t get us wrong—we’re not complaining, though salivating all over our keyboards is becoming quite the distraction at work.

Although there’s no word on when the cookbook will see its release, Teigen’s inaugural collection is bound to be good; the model teamed up with food writer and recipe developer Adeena Sussman and Top Chef Masters judge Francis Lam, who serves as the star’s editor.

Leaving us totally enamored with her dreamt-up dishes that range from an everything bagel-flavored chicken breast sandwich to Tiegen’s mom’s own papaya salad, the celebrity foodie has recently taken to Instagram to show off one of the final steps before her book heads to print. In the last few days, Teigen shared behind-the-scenes snapshots from her food shoot. Scroll through to see them all, with adorable cameos from the star’s parents.

The Latest Craze in Disco Styles Is See-Through Jeans—but Beware of Foggy Bottoms

Posted on

On a clear day, you can see forever—or at least that’s the wicked thought behind L.A. designer Agi Berliner’s transparent idea: see-through jeans. Exhibitionists notwithstanding, most folks wear them over bathing suits or as attention-getting evening wear with halters, garter belts and body stockings. Created for the disco crowd, the $34 jeans are selling like, well, hot pants. In just six weeks, 25,000 pairs have already been sold in such major department store chains as Macy’s, Bonwit’s and Saks.

“What’s limiting American designers is that we’re afraid to do something different,” says Berliner, 32, a Hungarian émigré who fled with her family to the U.S. in 1956. Agi thought up the gimmick in London while marveling at the way plastics were being employed by designers of punk fashion. In her L.A. office, where she designs for La Parisienne junior sportswear, Agi spent five days on the phone and six weeks testing to come up with the right plastic.

Agi herself tried out the French-cut jeans with the zipper in front, and quickly found several problems: Some plastics tore away from stitching, others wouldn’t bend and all fogged with perspiration. The ideal material proved to be a vinyl supplied by a bookbinder. The steam was eliminated with a series of vents behind the knees and in the crotch. “They’re no hotter than polyester pants,” claims Agi, “and if you wear them with tights, they won’t stick to your legs.”

Whatever the discomfort and despite the problem of Saturday night feverishness, discomaniacs report one major advantage of the plastic pants: no laundry bills. To keep Berliner’s see-through jeans clear, all the wearer needs is a little Windex.

A COOK BOOK????????????????????????????

SHE CAN’T COOK. ASK HER HUSBAND. HE’S STILL SKINNY.

Megan on

That looks pretty hygienic….

Dmac on

Actually she can cook, she has a food blog that is amazing and hilarious. I will be first in line when her cookbook comes out.

A cook book? 9 out of 10 prepared items she posts looks gross

Taylor on

All the food looks gross..wouldn’t buy her cookbook or anything else she’s selling.

M. on

Who is this cookbook made for?
Because her posing “just so” in camis and cleavage…um? Really?

SHT on

Her posing looks ridiculous, but I may check her book out.

She’s actually a trained chef. Her food blog is amazing and I especially like how she includes food from her Thai heritage. For people who have never ventured outside of American cuisine, this may not be your thing. She’s the ONLY celeb I’d ever buy a cookbook from. Ms. Goopy always has celeb chefs on hand for her cookbooks.

This gal is after attention and she is good at getting it. I do doubt she ever cooks in her kitchen. When you cook there is always cleanup. John just stands back and let her go for it(attention). I used to really love his music…Never had heard of her until she married him, she now shows up everywhere you look. I think its funny.

please go away.

Hmm. That sounds nice.

The black and white photo with the clams… it gives me the feeling she’s about to nurse them or spray breast milk over them. Why are the cleavage shots necessary? I can’t imagine she’s competing with her own dishes for attention. Sort of “which is more scrumptious, the dish or my breast?”

The cacio e pepe is actually really good, made that last night for dinner, and it isn’t as calorically “bad” as you’d think, despite all the cheese. Anyway, not only is she a trained chef, but she also had a show on the Cooking Channel a while back AND dated her husband for a decade before they got married.

I was pretty sad when I got to the Namco Bandai booth however and found out they only brought their fighting games to be played there, which I didn’t bother to try. Breakout Voyager, made by Stian Thomassen based on Breakout, is a classic retro style breakout game with a bunch of falling balls. Not only, the traditional games but the table games have also been fascinating mankind for years on end.

Hello this is somewhat of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

It really is very brilliant and also packed with a good time for me personally and my office fellow workers to search your site at a minimum three times in 7 days to read the newest issues you have got. Not to mention, I am usually happy considering the amazing hints served by you. Selected 2 areas in this article are clearly the most suitable I have ever had.
