Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day — but it also seems to be the most delicious at Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming-Willis’ house.

“We love cooking breakfast together. I make my special breakfast burritos and Bruce does a different spin on a pancake called Corn Cakes,” Heming-Willis told The New Potato in a new interview. “Imagine a corn muffin as a pancake — it’s delicious. He’s pretty famous for them around here.”

The model also dished on other foods the family loves to make at their Bedford, New York, home.

“[Bruce] loves Italian food. He’s always up for lasagna,” she says. “My kids love pizza. We buy a ready-made crust, add tomato sauce, add a thin layer of spinach and hide it with cheese. It’s an easy home run.”

Heming-Willis also revealed that the couple — who share two children, Mabel Ray, 3, and Evelyn Penn, 1 — are frequent dinner party hosts.

While she takes care of the charcuterie and cheese plates and the specialty cocktails (Moscow Mule, anyone?) Willis is in charge of the tunes.

“My husband has an eccentric playlist from Led Zeppelin to Miles Davis. And he has to drop a hip-hop beat in there at times to appease me,” she says. “Music just sets the tone, and we always want our guests to feel at home and relaxed. We don’t do stuffy.”

Is that a johnny cake??

Arthur in the Garden! on

@Katie, No. Johnny cakes are something different from Corn Muffin Pancakes.

Liv on

She could be his daughter. It must be “love”.

I’m lost here, why would we love him more because he makes pancakes? What am I missing here???

Bhavana on

I’ve had corn pancakes, but not for breakfast. The ones I’ve had aren’t meant to be eaten with syrup. You just put butter on them and eat them for dinner.

People loves Bruce even more because he makes pancakes? What a low standard.
