There Are 3 New M&M’s Flavors About to Enter Our Lives and Hearts

10/30/2015 at 05:32 PM ET

Thanksgiving is still weeks away but the new M&M flavors already have us singing Christmas carols.

After we finally settled down after freaking out over the pumpkin-spiced latte flavor, M&M reveals three more limited-edition candies inspired by our favorite hot beverages. Though their official release date is Nov. 1, White Peppermint, Hot Chocolate and Café Mocha varieties have started popping up on Walmart and Target shelves.

The recent sighting of the hot chocolate flavor reveals the candies are made with dark chocolate. And since the packaging features a Christmas-hat wearing red M&M holding a hot cup of cocoa with no shortage of marshmallows on top, we’re betting there’s a hint of mallow flavor incorporated.

Hot Chocolate[1]

As for the white peppermint flavor, fans can expect “cool peppermint with creamy white chocolate” in 8 oz. bags for $3.49. The café mocha M&Ms, available exclusively at Target, are made with milk chocolate and the coffee-infused flavor comes in red and green colors.

Cafe Mocha[4]

Though we’re not ready for the cold weather to set in, we still can’t wait to get our hands on these novelty candies. Will you try them all? Sound off in the comments.

The Latest Craze in Disco Styles Is See-Through Jeans—but Beware of Foggy Bottoms

Posted on

On a clear day, you can see forever—or at least that’s the wicked thought behind L.A. designer Agi Berliner’s transparent idea: see-through jeans. Exhibitionists notwithstanding, most folks wear them over bathing suits or as attention-getting evening wear with halters, garter belts and body stockings. Created for the disco crowd, the $34 jeans are selling like, well, hot pants. In just six weeks, 25,000 pairs have already been sold in such major department store chains as Macy’s, Bonwit’s and Saks.

“What’s limiting American designers is that we’re afraid to do something different,” says Berliner, 32, a Hungarian émigré who fled with her family to the U.S. in 1956. Agi thought up the gimmick in London while marveling at the way plastics were being employed by designers of punk fashion. In her L.A. office, where she designs for La Parisienne junior sportswear, Agi spent five days on the phone and six weeks testing to come up with the right plastic.

Agi herself tried out the French-cut jeans with the zipper in front, and quickly found several problems: Some plastics tore away from stitching, others wouldn’t bend and all fogged with perspiration. The ideal material proved to be a vinyl supplied by a bookbinder. The steam was eliminated with a series of vents behind the knees and in the crotch. “They’re no hotter than polyester pants,” claims Agi, “and if you wear them with tights, they won’t stick to your legs.”

Whatever the discomfort and despite the problem of Saturday night feverishness, discomaniacs report one major advantage of the plastic pants: no laundry bills. To keep Berliner’s see-through jeans clear, all the wearer needs is a little Windex.

I will sound off. Too bad Hershey’s is sponsoring the Duggar specials. I am done with their brand, for certain.

You get that M&Ms aren’t Hershey right?

xo on

This article is about Mars products, not Hershey.

Thank you, Leigh.

Thanks for letting me know about Hershey, not that I eat their chocolate anyway, horribly sweet.

I love M&Ms!

So what’s the difference between this year’s white peppermint and 2012-2014 white chocolate peppermint? I’m not crazy…the only reason that I know about the previous years is because my sister LOVES them so I make sure to stock up a little for her during the holidays.

I’m sure these are a step up from those horrible pumpkin spice mocha M&Ms last month. Nasty. Not even my co-workers have touched them after I left them in the break room, and those boys eat damn near anything.

I clearly remember getting the white peppermint ones last year, so they are not new. They were pretty good. I’ll try the hot chocolate flavor this year, but not the cafe mocha … those sound gross.

I tried the hot chocolate m&m’s and thought the taste was like hot chocolate but maybe just a little too strong. Overall they are quite enjoyable.

The cafe mocha are wonderful. Haven’t seen the others to try yet. The hot chocolate sounds good too. Wish cafe mocha would be a year round product.
