Victoria’s Secret Model Lindsay Ellingson’s Tips for Maintaining a Bikini Bod During the Chilly Months
Although bikini season is over for the year, Victoria’s Secret model Lindsay Ellingson says it’s possible to stay motivated during the autumn and winter.
“Make it convenient,” Ellingson tells PEOPLE. “Find a workout that’s two blocks from your apartment.”
The model, 30, also recommends hot yoga, “It’s so warm and cozy,” she says. “Get some warm boots to put on afterwards.”
Ellingson says she works out every other day and doesn’t use a trainer, but she gets personal attention at her New York City yoga studio.
“Yoga 216. It’s a really small studio. There’s only six people at a time in a class.” she says, “It’s basically like going to a trainer because you get that extra attention, which I love.”
The model’s latest workout obsession is ankle weights. “I travel constantly, but I’m not into gyms. I don’t know what to do with all the equipment!” she says. “[With ankle weights] you can do squats. You can do ballet bar lifts with your legs. You can grab a chair and do ballet bar!”
When it comes to food, Ellingson says she allows herself a cheat meal from time to time. “I love bare burger. Having a delicious cheeseburger with cheddar and avocado with french fries.”
Ellingson married Sean Clayton last summer and is still basking in her newlywed glow, “It’s so nice to have a partner in crime and be like, that part of my life is settled.” she says, “I feel so at peace. I found the guy with the biggest heart and I’m so grateful and thankful for that.”
As for when they’ll start a family of their own, “I think in a few years” she says, “We’re enjoying being newlyweds and traveling together. But I can’t wait to have kids. I imagine what my little girl is going to look like.”
